Job summary We are seeking an enthusiastic and self-motivated pharmacist to jointly lead our Medication Safety Team to provide pharmacy and medicines optimisation services to patients at St George's University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. This is a 0.6 WTE post as part of a job-share (equivalent to 22.5 hours per week). You will need to have excellent communication skills and be confident to provide training and guidance to the multi-disciplinary team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wishes to progress to a leadership and specialist pharmacy role and wants to drive positive changes in medication safety at the Trust.The Pharmacy Department is highly regarded in the Trust and has close to 300 staff members. The department is friendly, forward thinking and constantly expanding with opportunities for personal development and further postgraduate education. We support pharmacists to pursue opportunities in research to further expand their portfolio. We have four satellite dispensaries, attached to specialist areas to promote efficient dispensing. Our dispensaries are led by experienced pharmacy technicians allowing clinical staff to focus on patient care, medicines optimisation and care group work. Omnicell cabinets are used in the Emergency Department and Major Trauma Ward, supporting automated pharmacy services on ward level. The aseptic unit holds of a "Specials" Manufacturing Authorisation (MS) licence by MHRA.
