We are looking for a dedicated SEMH Teacher with expertise in Hospitality and Health and Social Care to join our secondary school based in Leeds. This is a full-time position starting as soon as possible.
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Location: Leeds
Contract: Full-time, secondary setting
Requirements:
1. QTS or PGCE in Hospitality, Health and Social Care, or a related subject.
2. Experience working with students with SEMH needs is desirable.
3. Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
4. Ability to inspire and motivate students.
5. Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
Responsibilities:
6. Teach Hospitality and Health and Social Care to secondary students with SEMH needs.
7. Deliver engaging lessons tailored to meet individual needs, following the full scheme of learning provided.
8. Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
9. Manage classroom behaviour effectively, ensuring all students feel supported and encouraged.
10. Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and other staff to ensure consistent support in all classes.
11. Contribute to student's social, emotional, and academic development.
