We are looking for a Front Of House team member to become part of our team. We are a coffee shop and brunch destination on the high street in Kings Heath, and in the 6 years since we opened have built a reputation on the quality of our cakes and brunch and our customer service.
As a team member you’ll have a varied role, ranging from running table service, hosting arriving guests, serving guests at the till, running and clearing tables, and importantly, all while keeping customer service at the heart of everything you do, dedicated to creating incredible experiences for our customers. We encourage creativity within the team, so any new ideas for the front of house to drive the business forward are always welcomed.
A passion for service and great food and drink is essential for this role.
As a business we’re on an exciting journey of growth with large plans for 2025 and beyond. We want someone to join our journey and embrace this exciting phase we’re going into.
The role and responsibilities:
* Run a section of 7-10 tables during service
* Have the ability to hold and recall dish knowledge for the customer
* Be able to communicate with other team members effectively and calmly
* Offer exceptional customer service and capture the visions we have for our business
* Bring a great can-do attitude to work each day that works well as part of a team
* Be flexible to work across different sections
* A willingness to cover shifts at our sister store Perch, in the City Centre
* Uphold the core values and standards of The Early Bird
* Available to work within the opening hours, between 8am to 5pm, including weekends and holidays

Desired Qualities
* Table service – 1 year experience required
* Hospitality experience in a reputable hospitality venue – 2 years experience essential
* A passion for food, coffee, customers, and colleagues
* Ability to embrace challenges in a fast-paced, team-driven environment
* Be career-oriented for hospitality
