This ongoing locum position starts on the 16th of September and offers a flexible schedule of 5 days per week, with the possibility of reducing to 4 days if needed. The successful candidate will need to be flexible with shift patterns, covering early shifts from 07:40 to 16:00 and late shifts from 12:10 to 20:30. No weekend shifts are required, allowing for a balanced work-life schedule. Key Responsibilities: Provide high-quality nursing care including monitoring, treatments, and assisting with medical and surgical procedures. Ensure the well-being of all patients, maintaining clean and comfortable accommodations. Assist in diagnostic procedures, including preparation and maintenance of equipment. Administer medications as prescribed by the veterinarian and maintain accurate patient records. Communicate effectively with clients, providing education and support on the health and care of their pets. Work collaboratively with the veterinary team to ensure a high standard of care and efficiency. Qualifications and Skills: Qualified Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) with current registration, or eligible for registration, with the RCVS. Strong clinical skills and experience in a veterinary practice. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Flexibility to work various shifts within the stated hours.
