Trainee Traffic Maintenance Engineer Oxfordshire, United Kingdom (On-site)
Join our Engineering Team at Telent and be empowered to innovate and develop solutions, working closely with technical experts who are proud of their impactful work. Contribute to building and maintaining the nation's critical infrastructure, ensuring connectivity and protection 24/7.
Reporting to the Contract Manager, the Trainee Traffic Maintenance Engineer will join a skilled team of Traffic Signals specialists in Oxfordshire. Due to growth and increased demand, we are expanding our Traffic team in this region.
What you’ll do:
Work alongside experienced Traffic Engineers to troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and test Traffic Signals, Traffic Lights, and related electrical equipment in Oxfordshire. Training involves on-the-job learning, aiming to achieve an NVQ in Electrical Installations and certifications like ECS and NHSS Chapter 8.
Who you are:
Interested in electrical troubleshooting, repairs, testing, and maintenance, with some exposure to electrical work—whether through work experience, college courses, or diplomas.
Key Requirements:
* Motivated and eager to learn through on-the-job and online training
* Experience in electrical testing, maintenance, installation, or relevant qualification
* Problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively to resolve faults
* Full UK Driving Licence and residence in Oxfordshire
* Willing to undertake Drugs & Alcohol testing for compliance
