Client Onboarding Engineering is focused on onboarding clients of Goldman Sachs faster and better. We deliver projects involving process workflow for KYC Due Diligence (AML), Regulatory & Product Due Diligence, entity case assessment, client outreach, contact management, agreement services, client account opening services, and Client Lifecycle Management platform. Engineering is at the center of our business, requiring innovative strategic thinking and immediate, real solutions. We use both open-source industry standards and internal proprietary technologies to build strategic platforms for onboarding clients through proactive management of the f2b onboarding process. This also involves projects requiring document and data digitization through various NLP techniques where the developer works closely with the R&D team on new machine learning methodologies, setting the stage for STP and full automation of workflows and processes. Team members work with global stakeholders (Compliance, Business, Client Implementation, Quality Assurance, Firmwide Ref Data Engineering) to onboard new clients with a focus on efficiency, control, and excellent client service mandated by AML Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) Policy and select EDD Procedures within Financial Crime Compliance (FCC). We are looking for a strong engineer who can work at the forefront of technology innovation and drive our goal forward.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Software engineers primarily focus on software design and development. This covers most programming positions in Engineering, including those previously considered business software engineers, platform engineers, and quality assurance engineers. Combine the best open-source software, databases, cloud solutions, and programming languages to solve problems and provide accurate, complex, scalable applications that help our business and clients gain new insights.
As a software engineer, you are the change agents that transform Goldman Sachs by applying your technical know-how. Be part of our embedded engineering teams that work as a unit with our business partners. Collaborate with trading, sales, asset management, banking, finance, and others to build and automate solutions to keep our firm’s position on the cutting edge. Or, join our core engineering teams and elevate all of our businesses by providing reliable, scalable platforms for data engineering, machine learning, networking, developer tooling, collaboration, and more.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
* Bachelor’s Degree
* 0-3 years of prior work experience in a relevant field.
* Proficient to advanced skills with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
* Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and follow-through
* Strong ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines
* Team player with positive attitude and strong work ethic
* Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
* Ability to adapt quickly to a variety of industries and businesses
* Ability to self-direct, analyze, evaluate and form independent judgments
* Ability to effectively interact and build relationships with senior management and global stakeholders
* Commercially savvy with ability to exercise discretion with respect to highly confidential/sensitive information
* Integrity, ethical standards, and sound judgment
Expert Knowledge in One Or More Of
* Programming in a compiled language such as Java, or C++, or an interpreted language such as Python, with experience in concurrency and memory management.
* Responsive web development, with professional React/Angular/Redux experience and advanced JavaScript proficiency.
* NoSQL databases such as MongoDB and Elasticsearch.
Preferred Qualifications
* Knowledge or interest in trading technologies in the front-office of a trading organization
* B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or a related field.
