Your Role in the Classroom:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will be crucial in creating a positive and supportive environment for young learners. You’ll assist the class teacher in a variety of ways, ensuring that each child is engaged, supported, and encouraged to achieve their best.
* Support Children’s Learning: Work one-to-one and in small groups with pupils, providing academic support tailored to their needs.
* Assist with Classroom Management: Help create a focused and calm classroom atmosphere, assisting with lessons, materials, and behavior.
* Special Educational Needs (SEN): Provide additional support to children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), including those with ASD (Autism) and other learning differences.
* Pastoral Support: Be a positive role model and support students in their social and emotional development, ensuring they feel safe, valued, and confident.
What We’re Looking For:
* Experience: Experience working with children, whether in a school, childcare setting, or other child-focused environment, is essential. Experience as a Teaching Assistant (TA) or Learning Support Assistant (LSA) is highly desirable.
* Qualifications: Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualifications are beneficial, but not essential. We value passion and experience just as much as qualifications.
* Personal Traits: You should be caring, patient, and adaptable, with the ability to engage and motivate children of varying abilities.
* DBS Check: You should either already have an enhanced DBS check or be willing to apply for one.
