Health and Safety Advisor - Civils/Construction/Water Industry
North East Salary Dependant on experience + Car allowance and Excellent Benefits
Our client, a major, award-winning civil engineering contractor, is looking to recruit a Health and Safety Advisor to operate across their project sites in the North East area (worksite areas between North Yorkshire, Teesside, and Newcastle - office is Hartlepool). This organisation is a leader within the industry looking to further grow the existing team. The successful candidate will be working across a range of projects, and as such, previous multi-site experience will be beneficial. Of particular interest are those candidates who have worked on water industry and civils schemes.
Responsibilities
1. Implementing Health and Safety policies and procedures on site, ensuring compliance and keeping updated with key changes to legislation.
2. Visiting site and engaging with managers, ensuring responsibilities are clear and answering technical Health and Safety related enquiries. Ensuring site activities are compliant and safely undertaken.
3. Conducting safety audits, inspections, and accident investigations. Constantly seeking areas for improvement and development in Health and Safety performance.
4. Engaging with the client and other external stakeholders, acting as a key point of contact.
Minimum Requirements
1. Candidates must hold a NEBOSH Certificate and ideally be a member of IOSH.
2. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
3. Good communication skills with the ability to communicate with a broad range of stakeholders.
4. Role is offered on a mix of site visits and hybrid working from home.
