EC&I Engineer - electrical bias\nNorth East, UK\nSalary: up to £40,000 - £50,000 DOE\n\nJackson Hogg is delighted to be working with a leading subsea business who are looking to hire an EC&I Engineer to work within their progressive and innovative team.\n\nThis is a permanent, full time in the office position based in the North East.\n\n * As an Electrical, Control & Instrumentation Engineer, you will play a key role in the design and development of offshore and subsea equipment.\n\n * You will be involved in the full life cycle of projects from design, development, installation, test, customer acceptance, documentation, training and after sales support.\n\n * You will provide support to other business functions, including Sales, Project Management, Procurement, Production, Commissioning, and Documentation.\n\nThe role is varied, and you will be typically involved in a range of different designs, including:\n\n * Offshore subsea equipment\n\n * Interactive ergonomic control systems\n\n * Power and control panels\n\n * Motor control centres\n\n * Low voltage power distribution systems (1ph & 3ph)\n\n * Network and communication systems, including RS485, MODBUS, and Ethernet protocols\n\nYour duties will include the following:\n\n * Sizing and selection of power system components (motors, starters, drivers, transformers, switchgears etc)\n\n * Cable sizing and type selection for glanding and routing\n\n * The creation of I/O Lists and the measurement systems and instrumentation\n\n * Selection and integration of subsea surveillance, vision and lighting systems\n\n * Using CAD to design and produce top level system diagrams, interconnecting wiring drawings, and detailed electrical, control & instrumentation schematics\n\n * Using CAD to design and produce engineering data including Bill of Materials, General Arrangement and equipment layout drawings.\n\n * Maintenance and updating of Bills of Materials and parts database\n\n * Creation of Functional Design Specifications in conjunction with other Engineers (Mechanical, Hydraulic, Software, Electrical/Electronic)\n\n * Machine Risk Assessment and design of safe equipment\n\n * FMEA/FMECA analysis\n\n * Design & Project reviews\n\n * Production of Commissioning & Factory Acceptance Testing documentation\n\n * Production of User Documentation\n\n * Creation and delivery of customer training material\n\nGreat benefits package is provided on offer.\n\nIf you are interested in this opportunity please feel free to reach out using the details below
