More detail about the role An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated, hard-working and compassionate nurse to work within the breast care nursing team alongside the Metastatic breast cancer clinical nurse specialist. The aim of the role is to act as a key worker and advocate, for patient diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer from the point of diagnosis throughout their pathway providing support and information and as well as participation in service development. This nursing role requires close working and collaboration with all members of the breast care nursing team, the wider Multidisciplinary team and the oncology service. Successful candidates will be experienced nurses, ideally with breast cancer, SACT/oncology or palliative care knowledge and experience. The individual will be expected to work flexibly, have excellent communication, listening and interpersonal skills, and have a willingness to advance their own practice, whilst considering the needs of others within the team. They will be expected to support new ways of working including, and new nurse-led clinics.
