This is a vital role and requires an experienced Purchasing Manager. You will be working for a very successful local organization where you will be required to ensure the right materials arrive at the right destination at the right time.
Some of your duties will include:
1. Managing the purchasing function and developing successful relationships with suppliers.
2. Liaising with suppliers, placing purchase orders, and updating the computer system with new stock deliveries.
3. Sourcing new suppliers when needed and agreeing on terms and conditions of business.
4. Maintaining accurate computerized stock records and recording details of stock movement.
5. Carrying out random stock audits, checking the quality of product and verifying quantity held.
6. Maintaining a computerized database holding product details and cost/retail prices.
