My client is working with Tier 1 architects and end users on prestigious projects within the high-end residential, commercial, healthcare, and education sectors. They're seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join their accomplished team. In this role, you will take the lead on the design and development of mechanical systems for complex and high-profile projects. Your expertise will be critical in driving the success of our projects, from concept through to completion, while ensuring that all designs meet the highest standards of efficiency, sustainability, and innovation.
Key Responsibilities: - Lead the design and development of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and ventilation, for high-end residential, commercial, healthcare, and education projects. - Collaborate with architects, end users, and other engineering disciplines to integrate mechanical designs into overall project plans seamlessly. - Oversee the preparation of detailed design documentation, specifications, and reports. - Ensure all designs comply with relevant standards, regulations, and codes of practice. - Conduct site visits to assess project requirements and monitor the installation of mechanical systems. - Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and other team members.
Requirements: - Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. - Extensive experience in mechanical design within building services, particularly in high-end residential, commercial, healthcare, or education sectors. - Proven ability to lead projects and manage design teams effectively. - Proficient in relevant design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, Hevacomp). - Deep understanding of current building regulations and industry standards. - Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, architects, and multidisciplinary teams. - A proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
