Who we are looking for
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Sheet Metal Fabricator to join our growing advanced manufacturing team. This role requires a deep understanding of modern fabrication techniques, equipment operation, and the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications. The ideal candidate will be experienced in working with tight tolerances, and a variety of metals in a fast-paced, high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment.
What you get to do
* Read and interpret blueprints, CAD drawings, and work instructions to fabricate precision sheet metal components.
* Operate press brakes, shears, turret punches, laser cutters, rollers, CNC folders, and other fabrication equipment.
* Perform precise layout, bending, forming, punching, notching, and assembly of sheet metal parts.
* Conduct in-process inspections to ensure dimensional accuracy and conformance to specifications.
* Set up and adjust fabrication machines based on job requirements and tooling.
* Perform TIG/MIG welding or spot welding as needed (based on experience and certifications).
* Maintain equipment and tools, ensuring proper function and cleanliness.
* Collaborate with engineers, quality technicians, and production staff to fix fabrication issues and improve processes.
* Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area.
What you bring to the Team
* High school diploma or equivalent required; technical/vocational training preferred.
* Minimum of 3 years of experience in sheet metal fabrication, preferably in an advanced manufacturing or precision environment.
* Proficient in reading blueprints and interpreting GD&T.
* Familiarity with a variety of metals (aluminum, stainless steel, cold rolled steel, etc.).
* Strong understanding of fabrication principles, setups, and tooling.
* Ability to use calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other measuring tools.
* Comfortable working with ERP systems and digital work instructions.
* Welding certifications or experience (a plus).
* Forklift and crane operation experience (preferred).
