I am now supporting Doncaster City Council for support workers for their adult's respite service. This is a permanent role, full-time at 30 hours per week.
The rota is planned 4 weeks in advance depending on the individuals who are planned into the service for short stay/respite. They plan for 2 days off together in a 7-day period where possible, and shifts cover a late shift, an early shift, or a day shift. The all-inclusive allowance is for all staff due to the rota pattern.
The salary is £23,107 plus an 8.5% all-inclusive allowance.
As per client request, you must be able to work days and after shifts; this could be an early shift followed the next day by an afternoon shift or a long day. You must commit to full-time hours and have eligibility to work in the UK.
Eden Lodge and Wickett Hern Road are registered services that provide respite for adults who have a learning disability and/or associated physical disabilities.
This is an exciting time to join our team as we are developing the service, and you will be at the forefront of our new model of short stay and assessment.
The properties comprise of 8 ground floor bedrooms and ten 1st floor bedrooms in total. As part of the team at respite services, the respite support worker will ensure that patterns of care and support within the shift are based on the principles of good quality care, ensuring that safeguarding legislation is maintained and reflecting control, cleanliness, comfort, safety, participation, involvement, privacy, dignity, and choice.
As the respite support worker of this respite service, you will have the responsibility to provide a high-quality service as required by the Care Quality Commission and Doncaster contractual residential standards.
We are looking for a calm, resourceful, and energetic individual who is well motivated, hardworking, and keen to join our friendly team.
There are posts based at 123 Wickett Hern Road, Armthorpe, and at Eden Lodge, Stainforth, but you will be required to work at both services sometimes at short notice.
You will need to work in a flexible manner on a rota which includes evenings, weekends, and bank holidays, as we are open 365 days a year.
