Role Description
As an Accounts Assistant, one of your primary responsibilities will be to assist the Senior Management Accountant on all FAS related duties. You will be expected to understand how the contract works and how to calculate the monthly financials, providing support to ensure all information is pulled together accurately and submitted on time.
This role will also involve taking shared ownership of the end-to-end Referral Fee process, working closely with the Assistant Management Accountant to review and sign off on Contract Request Forms. You will also ensure the agreements are implemented and working correctly, carry out the Month End process within the current timeframe and process invoices in line with turnaround times/SLAs whilst also checking they are supported by accurate breakdowns.
Main Responsibilities
* Work closely with the Senior Management Accountant on the FAS contract, i.e. pull together all relevant financial information and assist with the monthly calculations
* Weekly review of Referral Fee CRF’s in line with turn around times set out by your line manager
* Process Referral Fees at Month End, and send out all required reports to Referrers, ensuring accurate data is provided within the agreed timeframes
* Processing Referral Fee invoices weekly, making sure they are supported with the correct breakdowns, and marking them off the Referrals Due spreadsheet accurately
* Complete a number of Referral Fee reports post Month End (i.e. workdays 4-6) and send them out to the Referrer/Sales Account Manager
* Process police payments twice weekly for the EWIS team including carrying out necessary checks on the requests and liaising with the team as and when required
* Familiarise yourself with the EWIS case management system and carry out monthly EWIS price audit checks as set out by their management team
* Manage the Expenses & Credit Cards mailbox and process all staff expenses weekly
* Monitor the EWIS Finance mailbox and action any/all queries within the agreed turnaround time
* Any other adhoc tasks (including answering Finance calls)/provide cover for the Assistant Management Accountant
We are looking for
* IT skills including Sage 1000 preferable
* Basic accounting knowledge is preferred, but not essential
* Excel knowledge desirable, alongside other Microsoft Office programmes (Outlook, Word etc.)
* Knowledge and experience of working an admin-based role within an office environment
* Building rapport with other departments/managers around the business
* Working to set deadlines
