As the Senior Static Equipment Engineer you will have significant experience in pressure Equipment Engineering, having day to day responsibility for the delivery of Engineering Deliverables, Technical Support, and Equipment for JM Catalyst Technologies Licensed projects.

Your responsibilities:
1. Lead assigned projects, delivering project outcomes to the required standard within schedule and budget.
2. Take cross discipline responsibility for assigned projects working on Static, Heat transfer and Fired equipment as required.
3. Mechanical Design and Review of Pressure Vessels, Heat Exchangers and Packaged Equipment for Basic Engineering and Post Basic Engineering Packages.
4. Preparation of Equipment Technical Specifications, Mechanical Data Sheets, Drawings & Material Requisitions.
5. Technical evaluation / clarification of static / packaged equipment vendor bids, plus the technical bid evaluation reports to support order placement.
6. Review / comment on detailed design information and Vendor documentation.
7. Review of Process Data Sheets, P&ID’s, etc., multi-discipline and Vendor documentation for integration within Project design.
8. Support of other departments in the company needing help with mechanical design issues.
9. Support internal development and coaching of junior team members.
10. Take on any other duties which are within the employee’s skills and abilities whenever reasonably instructed
Requirements for the role:
11. Degree or HND in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
12. 7 years or more experience with a Process Plant Engineering & Construction Company (or closely related business).
13. Extensive knowledge of Pressure Vessel & Heat Exchanger Design and relevant Design Codes
14. Extensive experience in equipment specification and design for chemical process plants
15. Experience of reviewing Vendor bids, technical bid evaluations and post order documentation
16. Comprehensive understanding of general mechanical design standards
17. Knowledge of equipment fabrication, metallurgy, and inspection.
18. Knowledge of Refractory design and installation
19. Knowledge of Heat Exchanger Thermal Design
20. Membership of a professional relevant body
