Job Title:
Continuous Improvement Engineer

This is a pivotal role within our organisation, responsible for driving continuous improvement initiatives using lean tools and data-driven approaches.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Identify and implement process improvements, waste removal, and cost reduction by eliminating non-value-added activities.
2. Support and facilitate workshops on Kaizen, lean events, Practical Problem Solving (PPS), and root cause analysis.
3. Present improvement activities to senior stakeholders using PowerPoint presentations.
4. Manage the improvement suggestion tracker to ensure timely closure against target dates.
5. Plan and execute continuous improvement events using Lean Six Sigma tools.
6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coach on Lean Six Sigma methodology.
7. Improve shop floor and transactional area processes by collaborating with various departments.
8. Optimise manufacturing workflows and resources in conjunction with the Production Management team.
9. Apply lean tools and data-driven approaches to reduce costs and improve quality, ensuring regulatory compliance.
10. Support CAPEX activities and assess new equipment capabilities through trials.
11. Develop and assist in creating Standard Operating Procedures and conduct risk assessments for new plant, equipment, and processes.
Requirements:
* Familiarity with lean principles, tools, and techniques such as Value Stream Mapping, Process Mapping, 8 Wastes, 5S, and Time Observations.
* Experience in Manufacturing Engineering or a similar CI-focused position.
* Knowledge of manufacturing processes, fabrication methods, and tool design.
* Familiarity with manufacturing equipment and quality assurance techniques.
* Strong project management skills, with ability to work under pressure.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Power BI).
* Educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant discipline.
* Experience with 6 Sigma methodologies.
* UK driving license.
