Role Description
This is a part-time (2 days a week) on-site role for a Clinical Supervisor – Counselling Services, at St Raphael's Hospice in London. You will be responsible for the Bereavement Placement Service including coordinating and managing students/volunteers on placement, the provision of group clinical supervision and provision of professional clinical counselling for clients with complex grief, when needed. You will be responsible for assessments and allocations of cases.
Essential skills and qualifications
* Recognised diploma or degree in counselling or psychotherapy
* BACP accredited
* Experience in Clinical Supervision of students/volunteers on placement
* Experience of bereavement counselling and knowledge of complex grief interventions
* Understanding of the psychological processes involved in loss and grief
* Ability to engage with individuals at a time of deep personal crises in their lives
* Ability to work as a team member, and be a collaborative and inclusive team player
* Strong organisational and time management skills
Desirable skills
* Experience of working in a Hospice/palliative care environment
* Ability to work within multi-disciplinary clinical teams
* Understanding of the psychological aspects of death and dying
* Good working knowledge of using Microsoft Office applications and Outlook
