We have a fantastic opportunity for an Environment Manager to join our team based nationally with flexible working.
The salary on offer is from £43,000 per annum.
This is a full time, 12-month fixed term contract.
About the role:
The Environment Manager is a key role within the Environment team. The scope of this role covers environmental sustainability (ESG) and nature and biodiversity. The role of Environment Manager will report into the Senior Environment Compliance Manager and will also line manage the Environment Advisor.
What you will bring to the role:
* Lead the implementation of NHSPSs Scope 3 and Carbon Footprint Plus strategy, working across the Energy & Environment function and the wider business.
* Develop and Implement NHSPS Corporate Sustainability and Sustainable Procurement strategies and policies.
* Work with stakeholders across the business to establish and improve our responsible procurement framework, policies and procedures.
* Define energy and environment social value requirements and collaborate with the Social Impact Team and the Procurement team to ensure effective process implementation.
* Lead team in the development of TNFD (Taskforce for Nature Related Financial Disclosures) and BNG.
* Establish NHSPS sustainability framework in line with ESG requirements.
* Setting applicable ESG KPIs.
* Collaborating with key internal and external stakeholders to deliver on the ESG strategy.
* Explore circular economy opportunities, life cycle assessments and internal and external facing social value.
* Ensure NHSPS meets its environmental policy requirements and improves its environmental performance.
* Support the Senior Environmental Compliance Manager to develop environmentally related strategies, goals and projects.
* Ensure the company adheres to all relevant environmental legislation and regulatory requirements as well as support local functions and directorates in fulfilling their obligations.
* Managing any other related project deliverables.
* Line manages the Environment Advisor.
* Oversee the implementation of GIS baselining for biodiversity across the estate.
* Ensure the NHSPS Green Plan objectives are being progressed.
