Job Description
* Carry out routine mechanical maintenance including PPM on Portable Machining Equipment and associated ancillaries
* Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair Portable Machining Equipment and associated ancillaries
* Prepare and mobilise equipment spreads for shipping offshore and worldwide for In-Situ Machining Projects
* Carry out demobilising of equipment, consisting of detailed inspection and analysis of the equipment, ensuring any faults or defects are found, reported and repaired
* Provide technical expertise with regards to required repairs
* Assemble and test Portable Machining equipment and ancillaries (Includes Hydraulic and Pneumatic powered drive equipment)
* Advise on spares/parts required by obtaining part numbers from Operators Manuals and Engineering Drawings/BOM (Bill of Materials)
* Complete necessary documentation relative to the mobilising and demobilising of equipment, service, maintenance and repair of equipment, and work orders to an exceptionally high standard
Job Execution Skills
* Ability to troubleshoot and repair a wide range of mechanical equipment
* Knowledge of mechanical equipment and related components
* Knowledge of machining equipment and processes/uses
* Keeping accurate records of servicing, maintenance and repairs
* Ability to use various hand and power tools
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics and manuals
* Ability to work under pressure
* Recognised Mechanical Qualification (Essential)
* Minimum 5 years of experience working in Mechanical Engineering/Machining Industry
* Sound educational background minimum HNC mechanical engineering preferred.
* Excellent interpersonal skills, communication, influencing and organisational skills.
* Team and goal oriented.
* Strong analytical skills coupled with practical, hands-on problem-solving approach.
* High energy and drive.
* Forklift Licence (Desirable)
* Overhead Crane Training (Desirable)
