What the Job Involves Providing assessment, care management, and social work services to disabled children and their families within legislative and policy frameworks. Contributing to the development of the centre as a specialist resource for children and young people with disabilities and their families. Carrying out assessments and undertaking care management specifically for disabled children and their families. Managing, monitoring, and reviewing care plans, involving disabled children, young people, and their families. Liaising with other workers and agencies as appropriate. Working within the Council's financial regulations and being aware of available resources. Complying with Children Services' recording policy and utilizing management information systems effectively. Receiving supervision and assessment from the immediate line manager/designated person. Attending training to enhance professional development and participating in team meetings and the Duty system. Ensuring compliance with the Council’s Equal Opportunities, Race Equality, and Health and Safety Policies. Preparing legal documents related to Family Proceedings Court and representing Children Services as needed.
