The Compliance Team is responsible for the development and implementation of the TRA’s Compliance Framework (quality management system); managing the governance processes to assure operational compliance in our investigations; and to oversee the continuous improvement of operational practices.
This is a new role where there are some clear accountabilities, but it is recognised that the role may develop over time. There is opportunity to use initiative to identify new ways of reporting and communicating the teams’ outputs.
You will be expected to:
Compliance –
* Design, draft and communicate elements of a quality management system.
* Undertake gap analysis work for ISO 9001 (QMS).
* Develop / evaluate / improve quality standards using the PDCA principles.
* Review quality standards to ensure they are up to date and aligned to any changes in the organisation’s risk appetite.
* Undertake compliance deep dives into areas on a risk based approach.
* Undertake compliance activities.
* Undertake Error Analysis and mitigation actions, including monitoring of such actions.
* Conduct compliance walkthroughs where an issue has been identified.
Continuous improvement –
* Actively take part in internal stakeholder engagement groups and workshops with the key responsibility of identifying and prioritising opportunities for operational improvement.
* Align areas for continuous improvement with the TRA’s strategic direction and output from Lessons Learnt, Casework and QA & Compliance checks.
* Perform the Secretariat role for Change Board – overseeing the management and triage of requests, monitoring completion of change, and communicating the outputs. Ensuring the governance of the Change Board meets the requirements of the terms of reference, identifying improvements in the mechanics of the process, be responsible for the guidance and terms of reference.
Supporting the Head of Reconsiderations and Compliance and wider team by –
* Being an advocate of risk-based thinking.
* Addressing identified risks and opportunities.
* Providing clear and comprehensive recommendations.
* Ensuring effective communication to a high standard is demonstrated at all stages.
