Band 6 - Permanent Full Time/Part Time
Band 5 - Entry-level training position for newly qualified Radiographers, progression to Band 6 once trained/competent.
Join our expanding team at Royal Stoke University Hospital, providing specialist Vascular and Neurovascular intervention services. We offer opportunities for both experienced and newly qualified Radiographers, with full-time and part-time permanent posts available. Split positions with other modalities may be considered.
Our department features 2 state-of-the-art Siemens hybrid interventional theatres, capable of complex vascular and neuro endovascular interventions, hybrid imaging, and combined open-surgical procedures, with a third fluoroscopic procedure room. We plan to expand with more hybrid theatres over the next few years.
We run a Mon-Fri core-hours service and a 24/7 on-call service for emergencies. Candidates will join the on-call rota after comprehensive training and mentorship. Band 5 Radiographers can progress to Band 6 once competent.
We offer extensive training, mentorship, teaching sessions, and CPD opportunities through the Midlands Imaging Training Academy. We have strong industry links, providing opportunities to attend study days and conferences.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Undertaking Angiographic and other interventional duties/procedures.
2. Supporting interventional radiologists/neuro-radiologists with diagnostic/treatment procedures.
3. Proactively ensuring efficient, effective/safe running of IR lists and patient flow within the department.
4. Delivering high-quality, patient-centred care for all patients.
5. Taking a leadership role in absence of Superintendent/MTL, liaising with colleagues across sites.
6. Participating in supervising/training Student Radiographers, Radiographers, Registrars, Nurses, and support staff.
7. Ensuring QA procedures are carried out as per departmental and Trust schedules.
8. Involvement in stock takes, quality improvement programmes, and adverse incident reporting.
9. Participating in relevant clinical audit projects.
10. Contributing towards the provision of the 24/7 on-call service, working fairly with colleagues to cover all duties.
11. Involvement in additional duties and opportunities to run and develop the service and your skillset.
12. Flexibility in working practice to optimise patient throughput.
