Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical repairs and maintenance, with the ability to diagnose issues and implement effective solutions. As a Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our equipment and vehicles are operating efficiently and safely.
Responsibilities
1. Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on various types of machinery and vehicles.
2. Diagnose mechanical issues using diagnostic tools and equipment.
3. Perform inspections to identify potential problems before they become serious.
4. Replace or repair faulty components, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems.
5. Maintain accurate records of all work performed, including parts used and time spent on repairs.
6. Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely completion of projects.
7. Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while working in the workshop or on-site.
Skills
1. Proficiency in mechanical repair techniques and tools.
2. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
3. Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
4. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
5. Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to mechanical work.
6. Experience with welding or fabrication is an advantage but not essential.
7. A valid driving licence is preferred for roles that require travel between sites.
