That’s the way ahead About the role We are looking for a Major Assets Trading Manager to join our fast-growing Trading Team. As a Major Assets Trading Manager you will be reporting to the VP Trading – UK/MA. In this role you will focus on managing and trading of the major aircraft assets (MA), Auxiliary Power Units (APUs), Landing Gears (LG’s), and Engine Nacelles, ensuring risk-adjusted returns and market optimisation. You will oversee the full sales cycle—from lead generation to finalising transactions—while managing the administrative aspects of asset sales and trading. Responsibilities Develop and implement sales and trading strategies to maximize revenue from major assets, including APUs, landing gears, and nacelles. Actively seek new sales opportunities and manage the full sales cycle, including identifying leads, responding to RFQs, negotiating deals, and closing transactions. Maintain and update asset sales records, ensuring deals are tracked, documented, and managed efficiently within Quantum system. Manage and centralize market intelligence using the company’s CRM system Engage cross-functional teams to enhance trading efficiency and asset management. Draft internal transaction approval papers and contribute to business case development for asset acquisitions and trades. Coordinate administrative tasks related to asset transactions, including contract management, invoicing, and logistics coordination. Build and maintain relationships with airlines, MROs, and lessors to expand market opportunities. Be an ambassador for the Trading team internally and externally. Seek out mentorship, advice, and challenging opportunities to learn. Attend industry events and networking opportunities, some travel required at short notice. Skills & Experience Minimum 3 years of relevant aviation experience. Strong commercial or engineering background with expertise in major asset aftermarket dynamics. Established relationships with airlines, MROs, and lessors. Ability to develop and maintain industry connections using market intelligence. Independent thinker with strong communication and negotiation skills. Experience in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects. Solid understanding of the Aircraft Aftermarket, MRO landscape, and airline industry. BSc or equivalent in a technical or sales-related field. Proficient in MS Office.
