Main duties of the job
We are seeking to appoint an experienced, dynamic and self-motivated Project Manager to join an award-winning Capital Projects team. The successful candidate will oversee the end-to-end planning and delivery of a wide range of capital projects from conception through to completion, with responsibility for all aspects of project management as well as managing the appointed external design teams.
The post holder will work across the Trust, taking on responsibility for capital and infrastructure projects, as well as smaller projects and charitably funded works, working alongside a variety of different stakeholders.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
Job Responsibilities: As a suitable candidate, you will demonstrate excellent project management skills combined with strong leadership and people management experience. In addition to leading and developing internal colleagues, you will also be able to manage relationships with the Trust's external professional consultants, suppliers, and contractors. You will be comfortable operating in a highly complex, dynamic, and fast-changing environment. Most importantly, you will share the values and ambitions of our Trust.

Person specification
Qualifications / training required
* HNC/Degree or equivalent examined qualification in a Building Services, Building or related field, and Project Management Qualification or equivalent experience.
* Design knowledge/experience or must be prepared to train in this field.
* Experience in CAD Packages.
* Membership of a recognised professional organisation.
* NEBOSH General Certificate Application.
* Knowledge of Building Regs and understanding of statutory and legal processes in respect to site developments or acquire training within agreed period of time.
Previous or relevant experience necessary
* Extensive experience of Building Services maintenance, building maintenance and/or design and minor installation works in construction industry or Healthcare.
* Considerable previous experience in the engineering and/or building construction industry including site supervision of contractors, working to complex programmes and delivery schedules.
* Knowledge of HBN/HTM, asbestos regulations and Approved Codes of Practice etc.
* Experience of managing directly employed labour and contractors in the delivery of (a) carrying out minor projects (b) a reactive maintenance provision, (c) a planned maintenance provision, or (d) a combined service provision.
Aptitudes and skills required
* Must be capable of negotiating with and presenting to, line professionals within and outside the NHS.
* Translate raw data/information into concise reports with prioritised recommendations.
* Good IT skills and the ability to use Amtech, MS Office, CAD.
* Sound knowledge of regulations, statutory requirements and standards, appropriate in the built environment.
* Knowledge of using Schedule of rates.
Special requirements of the post
* Good Financial control and ability to authorise payments to contractors, suppliers and consultants.
* Must have; or obtain within 6-months: A current driving license, Project Management Experience, AP Certification as required for the position and to meet the Trust's needs. This could require a multiple number of AP appointments, Confined Spaces AP Certificate.
* OJUE and Tendering Processes experience.
* Project Management Qualification.
