You'll be responsible for:
* Managing intermediate level tasks and associated deliverables and/or supporting the associate director with activities to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of project and program management operations, whilst working alongside the wider project team comprising the client, design team and other consultants and contractors.
* Providing subject matter expertise to support teams across broad business projects and business units, ensuring the best project outcome.
* Managing design and wider consultant teams and project stakeholders to ensure effective completion of responsibilities including project briefs/scope, fees, processing claims, deliverables and/or project variations.
* Producing design and authorities programme to be integrated with procurement and delivery programme.
* Delivering project objectives, leading and managing the project teams and stakeholders to achieve strategic project key performance indicators (KPIs).
* Actively adhering to appropriate health, safety and wellbeing standards aspects across the project lifecycle.
* Preparing and modifying project plans and updates and ensuring relevance over the project lifecycle.
* Overseeing project timeframes, ensuring the success of delivery of programmes, highlighting risks, challenges and mitigations, managing project budgets, aligned to plan/agreed returns.
* Collaborating with stakeholders and ensuring robust quality systems are in place, suitably managed and monitored in line with service excellence.
* Leading and recording relevant meetings, providing stakeholders contextual information and analysis, including regular site walks.
* Partnering with stakeholders and actively managing risk management and mitigation treatments.
* Ensuring all approved handover documentation is coordinated and provided prior to practical completion.
* Promoting and driving the business priorities through construction to production, digital & data and responsible business practices.
* Working collaboratively towards the common goal of net zero carbon transition and share responsibility for the proactive identification and management of the associated carbon emissions and reductions during the delivery of work.
You'll need to have:
* Proven experience in project management, managing small to medium, and large sized projects.
* Developed communication, presentation, and project planning and development skills.
* Developed budgetary oversight expertise.
* Advanced proficiency in communicating, coordinating activities and collaborating with stakeholders.
* Proven understanding of project management methodologies and practices.
* Strong communication and negotiation skills to support the client/customer focus.
* Proactively managing internal budgets and fees, delivering agreed outcomes.
* Proven competency that understands construction methodologies and sequencing.
* Seeking opportunities for implementing improved working practices.
* Seeking out opportunities for service differentiation and implementing.
* Managing relevant stakeholders for projects.
* Developing effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
* Using advanced communication skills to collaborate with others to guide others to achieve project key performance indicators (KPIs).
* Good interpersonal skills to prepare reports, negotiate and build relationships with key stakeholders.
* Problem solving and analytical skills for resolving planning, estimating, contract administration and procurement issues within construction and design activities.
* Proficient knowledge and expertise in specific sector/market of project/role.
* Relevant technical qualification/certification for project portfolio.
* Sound technical expertise in health and safety executive (HSE) rules and specific sector/market regulations relevant to project portfolio.
* Knowledge of consultancy, construction, infrastructure and property sectors/markets and an understanding of estimating, scheduling, contracts administration, procurement, commercial controls and reporting.
* Substantial previous work experience in project management (or equivalent).
* MCIOB/MAPM/MRICS (or working towards) or local equivalent.
* Tertiary qualifications in related (project management and/or construction related discipline), non-related degree or equivalent professional experience/apprenticeship, combined with a demonstrable intermediate level of role knowledge.
* Appropriate Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) card.
