JOB TITLE: Security Officer
REPORTING TO: Shared Service Manager
LOCATION: Arena Shopping Park, Coventry, CV6 6LN
CONTRACT: Fulltime Permanent
HOURS: 42 hours per week
SHIFT PATTERN: 4 on 4 off, two sets of days then two sets of nights, rolling shift pattern
PAY RATE: £ per hour
ROLE OVERVIEW AND PURPOSE
This is a permanent contract. Door Supervisor licences required. Arena Shopping Park is an indoor and outdoor shopping centre housing over 30 retail shops and restaurants. We are looking to appoint a security officer to complete our team and help maintain a safe and secure shopping environment. The customer experience should be at the heart of everything you do.
Person Specification:
1. SIA Door Supervisor licence essential
2. Strong written and verbal communication skills
3. Excellent time management
4. Smart and well-groomed
5. High level of attention to detail
6. Ability to take ownership of all situations to ensure tasks are completed or escalated when necessary.
7. Ability to remain calm under pressure
8. Conflict management aware
9. Telephone skills
10. Familiar with patrolling and monitoring from a loss prevention aspect
11. Confident in complying with Health & Safety and fire prevention procedures
12. Ability to adapt to changing situations
13. Proactive attitude
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
14. Gladly interact with all visitors/tenants within the shopping centre, delivering first class customer focused service
15. Carry out regular patrols of the shopping centre
16. Ensuring all incidents are managed in accordance with site policies and procedures
17. Liaising with site control room proactively reacting to incidents
18. Ensuring any unsecure areas of the site are reported immediately
19. Deal efficiently and effectively with all emergencies
20. Monitoring and surveillance of suspect individuals, logging, and reporting incidents in line with site/company polices
21. Maintain vigilance and highlight unauthorised access by banned individuals
22. Ensure radio procedures are always adhered to
23. Ensure all events/incidents are recorded in the DOB book correctly
24. Undertake any other reasonable duties as required to meet the needs of the business
25. Ensure a timely response to all security issues and events
26. Complete all training requirements as requested by line manager
