The position is responsible for the Workshop within the HIAB Ellesmere Depot, which is measured by volume, profitability, team satisfaction and customer satisfaction for assigned customers.
Main tasks and responsibilities
1. To work from the workshop floor within the installation team and liaise with the supervising team and management to deliver an efficient, effective and profitable operation.
2. Work in conjunction with the overall HIAB strategy and contribute to continuous improvements within this area of operation.
3. Foster a positive and collaborative team environment.
4. Reporting of shortages and engineering shortcomings.
5. Provide work-based support where needed.
6. Support with installation growth and efficiencies.
7. Collaborate with the operations team to ensure internal and external customer satisfaction.
8. Support in the growth of the installations team using working practices and experience.
9. Develop and practise a lean and 6s safety culture.
10. Carry out assigned tasks and duties in a safe manner, in accordance with instructions and in compliance with the company's safety rules/procedures and with regulations and codes of practice.
11. Build staff engagement and support growth in training and compliance areas.

Working experience:
1. Experience in an engineering workshop.
2. Experience working in a team environment.
3. Experience meeting deadlines.
Competence and skills:
1. Proven ability to work within and support a busy workshop environment.
2. Able to demonstrate and lead by example hand fitting competencies.
3. Ability to demonstrate time and cost control.
4. Team facing skills.
5. Computer skills i.e., Microsoft and/or Google.
6. Proven ability to manage working relationships.
7. Ability to follow and lead safety instructions.
8. Knowledge and understanding of a Hiab product installation.
9. Achievement driven.
10. Good interpersonal and communication skills.
License/Certificate:
1. Driving licence
2. Fork lift truck - not essential but desirable
