Together with our network of partners, we provide free support, information, advice, financial assistance and services for horticulturalists and their loved ones experiencing illness, disability, bereavement, family breakdown and financial difficulties.

We are now looking for two Service Managers to join us on a full-time, permanent basis.

The Role
As a Service Manager, you will lead the operational delivery and quality of our holistic advice, information and support services, empowering people in horticulture across the UK to overcome a wide range of life challenges.
Specifically, you will manage our multi-channel services, including money, debt and casework advice, ensuring compliance with Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) standards and alignment with Perennials help and prevent strategy. This will include managing the operational aspects of our advice line, as well as other communication and advice channels.
You will ensure individuals and families are supported through life events such as ill health, job loss, bereavement, and financial hardship, delivering tailored advice to help people move forward positively.
Additionally, you will:
- Manage and support remote teams
- Creating a culture of compassion, collaboration and accountability
- Embed preventative models and early intervention approaches across service delivery
- Help to develop and evaluate long-term outcome-focused interventions
- Ensure regulatory and policy changes are seamlessly integrated
About You
To be considered as a Service Manager, you will need:
- At least five years experience within an advice and information service delivery environment
- At a minimum, four years experience of line managing a team and working effectively with dispersed remote teams
- Significant experience supporting adults or families with complex needs, delivering outcome-focused interventions
- Technical knowledge across key areas such as debt, welfare benefits, employment, health and social care, and housing systems
- A strong understanding of FCA compliance and quality management
