A vacancy has arisen for a People Advisor at PD Ports within the People Team. This is a replacement role, working within the Unitised, Transport, IT and Risk business unit grouping. The People Advisor will work with the People Business Partner to deliver tactical solutions to people needs, implement and advise on people policies, ensuring they are implemented consistently throughout the Company and building relationships with key stakeholders and leaders within their designated business area.
The five main things our People Advisor will be working on are:
1. Offer advice and guidance on managing people processes such as sickness absence management, disciplinary and grievances, TUPE, redundancy and reorganisation, and employee benefits, pay and other remuneration issues, including promotion and benefits.
2. Support line managers in the application of people policies and procedures within their teams.
3. Support the planning, and sometimes delivering, of training on key people processes and policies.
4. Advise and support management on the ad hoc people-related activities that arise regularly.
5. Collaborate effectively with the other People Advisors to ensure consistency in approach to people-related matters.
We are seeking someone who:

3. Is able to manage multiple workstreams, prioritising workload accordingly.
4. Has a minimum of 12 months experience in a People Advisor/HR Officer role.
Important Info:
Location: Middlesbrough – based between Head Office and Tees Dock, with the option of hybrid working.
Hours: Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week (would consider requests to work 4 days per week).
