Aligra is currently recruiting for Trainee Survey Engineers on behalf of our client, a leading provider of laser scanning and measuring data services to businesses of all sizes. Our client is known for exceeding client expectations and delivering an exceptional and efficient service on projects of varying sizes and complexities.
The role will involve undertaking setting out, measured building surveys, verified views, and monitoring projects. Experience using Surveying Equipment & Scanners, as well as an understanding of AutoCAD processing software, would be beneficial but not essential.
Key Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with the Lead Surveyor and Surveying Team to propose the most suitable technology and efficient methods to deliver projects to specification and within the agreed timeline.
* Perform all surveying and technical aspects of a project in compliance with Company standards, including quality and health and safety regulations.
* Take ownership of assigned project elements, including logistics, and support other phases of the project to ensure overall success.
* Conduct land surveys to determine property boundaries, topography, and other relevant information.
* Prepare and maintain work record and data sheets and ensure work is carried out in accordance with contract requirements.
* Maintain contract management quality records as directed by Senior Engineers/Site Agents.
* Produce As-Built Drawings in accordance with Client requirements.
* Carry out site surveys for weekly/monthly measurement purposes.
* Use surveying instruments and equipment to measure distances, angles, and elevations.
* Prepare and maintain accurate field notes, records, and sketches.
* Analyse survey data and create maps, plats, and reports.
* Ensure compliance with surveying standards, regulations, and safety protocols.
* Maintain flexibility in working hours and location, including occasional night work and travel away from home.
* Undertake any other reasonable tasks as requested.
