Robert Bosch LLC seeks Application Calibration Engineer (Multiple Positions) at its facility located at 15000 Haggerty Rd, Plymouth, MI 48170. The responsibilities of the role include:
1. Analyze customer requirements for measurable project goals.
2. Provide feedback and suggestions to improve project requirements.
3. Evaluate sensor positioning and perform qualitative checks of sensor integration.
4. Parameterize vehicle-specific dimensions, sensor locations, and display regions using information from SPR and CAD files.
5. Flash development ECUs for application-related work.
6. Create calibration filters to eliminate disturbing echo reflections from sensor surroundings.
7. Capture and analyze traces for various park assist objects in vehicles.
8. Utilize Differential GPS equipment to create and validate vehicle models.
9. Optimize Power Steering and Braking Parameters.
10. Support parameter selection for software features within object classification components.
11. Analyze system signals for reported defects by customers or internal defects found during vehicle validation tests.
12. Perform root cause analysis on performance issues to identify failing algorithms or calibration parameters.
13. Develop test plans for in-vehicle teams to verify object classification and localization testing.
14. Create technical presentations of system limitations and failure root cause analysis.
15. Utilize predefined Jenkins network jobs for data processing and simulation.
16. Contribute to improvements and development of tools and processes using Python and C/C++.
17. Create final calibrations for delivery to customers.
18. Host technical Peer and Management Reviews for approval of releases.
Minimum Requirements: This position requires a bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, and 3 years of experience as a Calibration Engineer, Test Engineer, or occupation involving performing calibration or testing in the automotive industry. Additionally, the applicant must have employment experience with:
1. CANape and CANoe scripting, parameterization, and software flashing features;
2. CAN-FD and cyber-security electrical architectures in automobiles;
3. DOORS, ALM or MKS;
4. Embedded software (C and assembly);
5. Schematics/mechanical drawings and vehicle networks (CAN/LIN).
