If you are enthusiastic about supporting students with special educational needs (SEN) and contributing to their educational success, this SEN Teaching Assistant role is perfect for you About the Role: As an Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting teachers and helping students with special educational needs (SEN) achieve their full potential. You will work closely with students, providing one-on-one or small group support, and assist in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment. This SEN Teaching Assistant position offers a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young learners. Responsibilities Assist teachers in preparing classroom materials and resources. Support students with their learning activities, ensuring they understand and complete tasks. Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with special educational needs. Help manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment. Assist with the supervision of students during breaks and lunchtimes. Adapt learning materials to meet the needs of students with special educational needs. Participate in school events and activities, contributing to the school community. Requirements Previous experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant or in a similar role is preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. A positive and proactive attitude towards helping students. Basic knowledge of child development and educational practices. Relevant qualifications or training in education or childcare is an advantage.
