About the role
Technical Accounting Operations is a global function and part of the Corporate Solutions Operations Division, which handles the in-force insurance business from end to end. In this Technical Accountant role within our LPC Team, you will be responsible for handling insurance accounts presented through our broker intermediaries.
Through your knowledge and understanding of Insurance, Contracts and Claims Operations management principles you will be accountable for ensuring our obligations under the contract terms and conditions are adhered to and client and brokers service optimized.

The quality of our work influences Swiss Re reputation and is instrumental in the company's growth in all markets around the world. In this role you will encounter various departments and different Swiss Re locations.
About the team
You will join a very experienced and highly motivated team of Technical Accountants that are handling Insurance premiums & claims across EMEA. Our responsibilities require regular interactions with our colleagues across EMEA and we have a strong link to the other Operations teams and collaborate daily to deliver best service and most value to our clients.
Key tasks:
1. Technical verification of received insurance accounts from clients as agreed by our Underwriters, clarify deviations or incorrect data with SR's internal departments and/or with clients. Business correspondence with clients (call, email etc.)
2. Process premium and claims accounts following set of guidelines and working instructions
3. Financial settlement with clients according to terms and agreements, timely management of overall cash flow
4. Data quality control and risk management related activities according to internal guidelines
5. Ensure that the agreed priorities, timelines and service standards are achieved
6. Proactive investigation, analysis and interpretation of processed accounting information and regular reporting activities
7. Sharing information with other team members across locations and if needed cross-team collaboration
8. Contact external clients directly (either written or verbal) to clarify and resolve any operational issues such as missing accounting information, incorrect data, payment delays etc.
9. Perform other position related tasks as instructed by Line Manager.
About you
* Accounts handling experience, preferably in the Insurance sector is an advantage
* Previous experience of handling London market deals including knowledge of LPC will be highly beneficial
* Excellent oral and written communication skills.
* Language skills: English fluent written and spoken, any other European language is an advantage.
* Ability to work in a team environment.
* Ability to analyse and interpret information through electronic documents.
* Ability to work independently, handle multiple priorities, manage workload and meet deadlines.
* Service oriented with an ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
* Demonstrate and utilise effective problem-solving skills and proactive critical thinking skills.
* Commercial and self-motivated mindset.
