The school now has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Administrative Assistant who will also have responsibility as the Head’s PA and Single Central Register Champion to join our fantastic team. This is a full-time position, 37.5 hours per week, 52 weeks per year. Salary up to £26,000 per annum.

About the role
Located in a semi-rural setting, a stone’s throw from the Sea, Meoncross School and Nursery provides Independent Education for boys and girls aged 2.5 to 16 years. We currently have an exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified and experienced individual to join our passionate and committed team. We are looking for an enthusiastic Administrator who will have responsibility for Head’s PA duties, SCR and recruitment compliance and coordination of one-off events. You will work as part of our administrative support team in our busy and vibrant school office. This role is for those who like a challenge, enjoy doing something different every day and have the desire to make a positive difference to the lives of young people. The successful candidate will be hard working, organised, proactive, flexible and enthusiastic with the ability to work proactively either independently or within the team.

Who we are looking for
In order to be successful in this role, it is essential that you have relevant experience in administration systems and ideally experience of working in a school environment. The role includes being a Primary First Aider so it is essential that you are First Aid trained or are prepared to take the relevant qualification. It is a requirement to have GCSE Grade C or above in Mathematics and English Language or equivalent qualification or skill level. The ideal candidate will also have previous experience in working in a busy school office although we will consider candidates with relevant administrative experience. You must be highly motivated and able to use your own initiative and a happy and cheerful disposition as well as a sense of humour is essential as is the ability to work well under pressure.
