Sales Manager - Metals Supply Industry We are looking to hire an experienced Sales Manager on behalf of one of our clients who operate in the metals supply industry selling high specification and compliant products to the UK and EMEA. Our client is recognised as a market leader by its customers and is embarking on an exciting phase of business development through both acquisition and organic growth. They have been winning significant new business in the water & nuclear industries and operate from very modern premises based in Rotherham. We are currently helping them to refine their go to market strategy but ultimately, you would be leading a team of around 8 sales people with a mix of desk-based account managers and external business development staff – this is an exciting opportunity to help shape the future of this business. Our clients focus over the next 5 years is one of growth, whilst protecting the existing business volumes so as the Sales Manager you will need to understand how sales teams with retention and acquisition responsibilities should be managed and developed to succeed. This position will suit candidates who enjoy management roles where they can motivate, nurture and encourage the sales team to think outside of their current comfort zone. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a track record of innovation & creativity in the role as well as a natural understanding of forecasting, pipeline generation, gap analysis, new market creation and penetration as well as setting and managing daily, weekly and monthly team tasks / cadence. Whilst it is desirable to find a candidate who has experience in the metals supply industry we are open to candidates who can demonstrate a strong & successful management track record. The candidate will also become part of the senior leadership team who are supported by the company directors who are fully motivated to invest in the development and success of the sales team that you will lead. About the Role: As a Sales Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the sales activities of the business. You will have the opportunity to work closely with our customers, identify new business opportunities, and develop strategic sales plans. Your will use your exceptional leadership skills to lead a team of sales colleagues. Along with your knowledge of the industry, you will successfully maximise sales targets and drive revenue growth. Additionally, you will collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and deliver great customer service.
