Job Overview
This is the ideal post for an enthusiastic and inventive Psychologist who is interested in working with individuals and families post-stroke and leading a team of dedicated psychology professionals working in stroke care. The service provides one-to-one and group interventions for individuals who have experienced a stroke and their families; collaborative work with our MDT teams in joint sessions; consultation and training. The post holder will be responsible for ensuring high-quality care is delivered in a timely manner in line with client needs, our wider services and national guidance.
Main Duties of the Job
This service lead role will offer the post holder the opportunity to enhance their leadership skills working as part of the senior leadership team in West Essex Stroke. Other key roles will be in supervision of qualified, training and non-qualified staff, service development with MDT stroke leads and wider initiatives in the Clinical Psychology Service. Neuropsychological skills are fundamental to this post.

Qualifications
* Completed Doctoral Level Training with HCPC equivalence
* Has completed further training in a specialty related to the post
Knowledge and Skills
* Has worked with physical health conditions
* Has supervised qualified and non-qualified professionals
* Demonstrates working knowledge and skills in neuropsychological assessment and neurorehabilitation approaches
* Has worked in physical health/stroke environments/teams
Leadership and Engagement
* Demonstrates a desire to work in a team and develop MDT working
* Has undertaken leadership training
* Demonstrates interest in broader strategic thinking e.g. working with commissioners, broad pathway work
