SEMH Teachers – Barking and Dagenham – Immediate Start
Create education are looking for enthusiastic and passionate individuals to join a team in Barking that work with neurodiverse young people ages 11 – 19 with complex profiles. The aim is to provide therapeutic community-based education for children with a range of needs including SEMH, ASD, mental health and anxiety. The pupils are unable to attend the traditional school setting due to challenging behaviour or mental health needs the successful individuals will work the student to produce a tailored plan that fits their individual needs at a pace that suits the pupil.
Currently, the school are looking for experienced and energetic Teachers. Teaching is delivered online (either from home, or our hub in Barking) and there is an expectation to attend whole staff meetings on a Friday in Barking. In total we are seeking up to 5 teachers: 1 x English, 1 x Maths, 3 x SEMH Teacher. The successful candidate will be confident in their skills in engaging and managing vulnerable young people with a range of complexities and neurodiversity.
Person Specification – SEMH Teachers – Barking and Dagenham - Immediate Start
Be a Qualified teacher (holding a QTS or equivalent) with experience in SEND, therapeutic or outreach education schools or provisions.
Be proactive and innovative
Have the ability to work flexibly and independently
Be able to provide outstanding teaching and be a strong role model.
Be an engaging and inspiring teacher providing expertise and passion your subject
Have a strong work ethic
Respect and appreciate all differences and promote inclusive learning.
