Undertaking a range of personal/physical care tasks when required by assisting with eating, drinking, administering medication, continence, dressing and any other tasks in accordance with the care plan.Undertaking all other duties as required for the role. Duties will be in line with the grade.The Person Must have, or be willing to achieve in the first period of registration, the Social Services and Healthcare SCQF level 6 (equivalent to SVQ2) or equivalent to meet Scottish Social Services Council registration. Communication skills, organisational skills, ability to manage and prioritise workload, ability to work with minimal supervision, team working skills, literacy skills, basic IT skills. Ability to provide support to individuals with personal care needs, Moving & Handling, ability to undertake physical tasks e.g. being able to comfortably kneel on beds and floors and able to rise without difficulty. You are required to register with Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) within 6 months of taking up employment in this role and to complete the required Post Registration Training and Learning (PRTL) over the first registration period. Fife Council will pay your annual registration fee.Before confirming to your appointment, you will be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland.As this role requires SSSC registration, the successful applicant will have three months to apply for registration.If appointed, you must start your application as soon as possible so you're registered within the required six months.
