Brain Injury Support Worker - Chester ( Male)
Pay Rate: £15.00 - £17.00 per hour
Working Hours: Minimum 48-hour sleep over shift per week
About the Client:
Our client is currently pursuing a counselling course and would greatly benefit from additional support. They have a strong passion for creative activities, including open mic nights, video games, and art. We are looking for a support worker who shares an interest in the creative side and can engage with the client in these activities.
Role Overview:
The successful candidate will play a key role in assisting the client with their daily routines, health management, and emotional care. This role requires a compassionate, patient, and empathetic approach to help the client with their recovery and personal development.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist the client with daily routines, including health management and emotional support.
* Provide support in the client’s counselling course.
* Engage in creative activities, such as open mic nights, video games, and art, to help the client express themselves and develop their skills.
* Promote the client’s independence and encourage personal development.
* Effectively manage challenging behaviours and ensure the client’s overall well-being.
Requirements:
* Proven experience in a similar support role, particularly with individuals who have sustained brain injuries.
* A full UK driving license and access to your own vehicle.
* Ability to effectively manage challenging behaviours.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* A compassionate, patient, and empathetic attitude.
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
* Flexibility to work the required hours, including a minimum of 48-hour shifts.
