An opportunity has arisen to join The Cumberland as a Lending Officer in our Intermediary Team at an exciting time for The Society as we continue to grow our Intermediary Proposition. About the Role As a Lending Officer you will play an important part within the Intermediary Lending team, acting as a key point of contact for customers and intermediaries through all channels of communication, as well as supporting other roles within the team to help us to offer an exceptional service at all stages to maximise intermediary lending opportunities across Residential, Holiday Let and Buy to Let business. You will be responsible for business retention, this will involve proactive communication to our customers, undertaking appointments to help them understand their options and processing of the relevant documents within the relevant timeframes. This is a hybrid role with both home and office based work, there is an expectation that you will work from Cumberland House at least one day per week and be willing to attend team meetings in person. This is a fixed term appointment for up to 12 months. This role is 37.5 hours per week (Mon-Fri 8:45-5:15). About You Excellent verbal and written communications skills are important in the role as is the ability to build relationships and trust and to establish effective working relationships at all levels. You should have strong organisational skills and good attention to detail to deliver a right first-time approach. A passion for providing exceptional customer service and the ability to work as a team player are key for the role. Ideally you will have some experience and knowledge of the UK mortgage marketplace and good knowledge of mortgage products and lending policies would be advantageous however not essential.
