Quantity Surveyor – Prominent MEP Contractor – Belfast/Tyrone Your new company An award-winning prominent MEP Contractor who, due to impressive bid success and an increased secure workload, is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their major projects team. This contractor is seeing continuous growth with an enviable client base throughout the UK&I operating across various sectors including Health, Education, Industrial, Leisure and Commercial projects. Your new role Participate in pre-contract meetings, coordinate with various construction professionals, and ensure timely completion of agreed actions. Review and negotiate contracts with Main Contractors and Clients. Negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers on behalf of the company to secure competitive pricing and favourable terms. Manage construction contracts according to agreed terms and oversee the payment processes. Measure and value completed work accurately, ensuring adherence to contract specifications and drawings. Prepare regular cost reports and financial statements, monitor project progress, and identify any potential budget deviations. Identify and evaluate potential financial risks associated with projects and develop mitigation strategies. Maintain effective communication with clients, keeping them updated on project costs, progress, and potential changes. Collaborate with team members, including project managers, engineers, and support services, to ensure project success. What you'll need to succeed 5 years post-graduate experience in a QS role within the Construction Industry Highly motivated, hard-working individual who can work on their own or as part of a team Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications Excellent written and verbal communication skills Excellent time management and organisational skills Applicants must have a clean driving licence Self-motivated, with a ‘can-do’ approach to work and willingness to learn and assist Willing to travel to the UK as required.
