This is a full-time, permanent position, working Monday to Friday from 8:30 AM to 3:30/4:00 PM during term time only. The confidence and skills to deliver lessons and support pupils in the absence of the teacher. Role Purpose: As an HLTA, you will: Support the Headteacher’s vision and contribute to the school’s policy, educational programme, and overall discipline. Help pupils engage in social and academic activities, addressing their individual needs with appropriate interventions. Encourage pupils to become independent learners while raising achievement levels across all age groups. Deliver planned lessons to whole classes across EYFS, Key Stage 1, and Key Stage 2 as part of PPA cover. Design, deliver, and review learning activities for individuals and groups, ensuring alignment with national guidelines and best practises. Promote and safeguard the welfare of children you work with. Key Responsibilities: Support Learning: Assist all pupils in accessing learning activities, adapting strategies and resources as needed. Lesson Delivery: Lead planned lessons and activities in the teacher's absence. Behaviour Management: Implement consistent and effective strategies to maintain a positive learning environment. Literacy and Numeracy: Provide focused support to individuals and groups to enhance progress in key subjects. Planning and Evaluation: Collaborate with teachers to plan lessons, evaluate activities, and share feedback. Monitoring Progress: Assess pupil development, track progress, and address challenges in a timely manner. Teamwork: Work under the direction of qualified teachers and contribute to a cohesive learning environment. Key Criteria: Collaborative planning and preparation of lessons. Delivery of lessons to groups of pupils. Assessment of pupil progress and development. Feedback to teachers on pupil attainment and achievements. Why Join Us?
