The Role
We are seeking to recruit a Sustainability Consultant (NI/ROI) to work within the Sustainability Group on the Island of Ireland. The role will be based in NI/ROI supporting local clients across a range of sustainability services including (but not limited to); sustainability strategy development and auditing, energy and resource (packaging, water, waste, transport, materials) site auditing; waste management and circular economy; ESG and other sustainability framework reporting, sustainability research studies, and environmental management and assessment tools development and support.
We are a flexible employer offering hybrid working from our Belfast or Dublin offices and are willing to consider an arrangement that is desirable to you.
The position may require travel (including occasional overnight stays) in Ireland, the U.K. and overseas depending on project requirements. Company pool cars are available for business travel – a full U.K. or ROI driving licence with clean driver record is required as well as a valid passport and photo ID is required for air travel. Applicants must be eligible to work in the U.K. and Republic Of Ireland.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess an Honours or Masters Degree in Science, Environmental Management, Engineering, Sustainability, Waste, Energy, Business, Quality Management, or similar.
Experience and Skills
The ideal candidate will have experience with regards to many of the following areas/disciplines, with experience from recent graduate entry level to up to 2-3 years’ business/ industrial/ consultancy experience including data management, report writing, researching solutions and project delivery to meet performance KPIs. Generally, the candidate is expected to be able to demonstrate the following skills;
* Successful track record in delivering environmental and sustainability project work.
* Organised, logical and structured; attention to detail.
* Communication and training/facilitation skills.
* Bringing numeracy, data analysis/interpretation, business acumen.
* Creative thinking and ability to identify and drive new business opportunities.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Professional software packages, including Excel.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications, experience, and position requirements.
