About the role We are looking for a motivated individual to join our Finance Team. This varied and interesting post will involve close liaison with the staff within our academic departments, faculty-based teams, central professional services and external organisations. Key tasks will include providing financial support, advice and guidance to grant holders in the faculty, monitoring research grants and contracts, studentships, short courses and conferences and ensuring that principle investigators have access to summary and accurate financial information. This is a full-time, permanent role. There is flexibility in the working pattern and will be a mix of remote and on-campus working. About you You should be part-qualified and working towards (or willing to) AAT level 4, or with an equivalent relevant professional experience. You will have worked in a busy accounting/financial environment where excellent communication skills are essential. You will be comfortable using Microsoft Office applications and will be willing to acquire further IT skills. You will also have experience of and enjoy working as part of a team in a confidential setting. A good track record in financial administration is essential. Skills in the use of financial management software will be an added advantage. An interest in our work and a willingness to become fully involved in the life of the faculty is equally important.
