KS3 Teacher – Mixed Curriculum – SEMH Setting (This role is based in Blandford Forum) We are seeking a passionate and resilient KS3 Teacher to deliver a broad, mixed curriculum to students in a SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) setting. Key Responsibilities: Deliver a varied curriculum (including core subjects such as English, Maths, and other foundation subjects) tailored to meet the individual needs of students with SEMH needs. Create a supportive and engaging learning environment, using creative and flexible teaching strategies. Build strong, trusting relationships with students to encourage engagement and progress. Support students in developing both academic and emotional resilience, helping them overcome barriers to learning. Work closely with support staff, external agencies, and families to ensure a holistic approach to student development. Manage behaviour positively, using de-escalation techniques and trauma-informed practices. Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or relevant teaching experience. Experience working with students with SEMH needs, SEN, or behavioural challenges. Ability to teach a range of subjects and adapt teaching methods to suit individual learners. Patience, empathy, and strong behaviour management skills. A team player with a flexible and proactive approach. DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
