An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Acute Cardiac Unit for an experienced Registered Nurse to join our dynamic friendly team.
The Acute Cardiac Unit is a 29 bedded Acute Cardiac Ward. We are a busy unit which specializes in the care of patients with a wide range of cardiac conditions requiring acute care, treatment and intervention.

Main duties of the job
1. To provide high quality, individualised nursing care to patients and their parents/carers through working as an effective member of the inter-disciplinary team.
2. To develop clinical and managerial skills by taking charge of the ward in the absence of the Ward Manager or her deputy.
3. To contribute to the supervision, assessment and education/development of ward staff and students.
4. To contribute to the continuing development of nursing practice through research and audit.
