We are seeking an experienced Property & Estates Management Officer, time served in a similar technical role within a housing or customer focused environment. You will support our two award-winning companies to make a real difference to people’s lives, homes and communities across North Wales, specifically the Flintshire area.

Do you have:
1. A strong customer focused and empathetic approach.
2. The ability to work as part of a small, busy team as well as to work alone and therefore capable of organising your workload and making decisions.
3. A combination of skills and personal characteristics that include an in-depth understanding of properties and their defects – an ability to diagnose and rectify common problems within buildings – as well as excellent customer service and interpersonal skills to deal with people in their own homes in a front-line housing setting.
4. A Level 4 qualification within the Construction Industry or willing to work towards one.
5. Excellent communication skills and provide a high quality, friendly customer-orientated service and self-awareness to continuously improve yourself and others.
6. A proven track record of working in the construction industry/ Housing Association or a similar role with the skills and experience to undertake the role and accountabilities as set in the attached role profile.
What will you be doing?
As a Property & Estates Officer you will be working on a patch across Wrexham and Powys local authorities, engaging with residents, staff and contractors as well as managing properties. Every day is different and varied and can be challenging. The main responsibilities of the role include:
1. Identifying and resolving problems that residents have reported in their homes, including damp and mould inspections.
2. Undertaking stock condition surveys and assisting with future cyclical planned maintenance works for your patch.
3. Making sensible investment decisions about future works.
4. Undertaking fire risk assessments in blocks of flats (Training Provided).
5. Undertaking safety/ Compliance checks and assessing risk.
6. Proactively leading, managing and developing the team of site staff in line with the WWHG way.
7. You will enable the delivery of services to our residents by providing effective support to all departments and front-line staff within the Group.

Where is the role based?
