Domus have a fantastic opportunity for a Nominated individual to oversee a Substance misuse and Alcohol service in Liverpool.
This is a large residential service for adults. The ideal candidate will have previous experience as a NI or operated at a similar level.
We are looking for someone with previous experience at management level in the sector, who is able to demonstrate a track record in motivating and managing staff, together with a clear understanding of leadership responsibilities in social care.
Key Responsibilities of a Nominated Individual
• Lead the daily operation of the residential service, ensuring all activities comply with CQC standards and legal requirements. Monitor service performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions.
• Manage, support, and motivate a dedicated team of professionals. Ensure staff are well-trained, equipped to deliver high-quality care, and supported in their roles. Conduct regular supervisions and appraisals.
• Develop and implement individual care plans for residents, promoting recovery, independence, and well-being. Monitor progress and adapt plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Ensure a safe, secure, and respectful environment for all residents. Take lead responsibility for safeguarding procedures, handling concerns or incidents in line with best practices.
• Act as the main point of contact for CQC inspections and other regulatory bodies. Ensure that all records, reports, and policies are up to date and compliant with regulations.
• Identify training needs, organize professional development opportunities, and ensure the team is fully up-to-date with relevant certifications and skills.
• Build and maintain relationships with external agencies, healthcare providers, and local authorities to enhance service delivery and support resident recovery journeys.
Requirements:
• Proven experience in managing services for adults with alcohol/substance misuse.
• Strong understanding of CQC and safeguarding regulations.
• Leadership and team management experience.
• Knowledge of addiction treatment and recovery.
• Relevant qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 5 or Registered Manager award) preferred.
